I just heard about Xcalper from my colleagues. I want to trade with them. They offer real account as well as demo account. Can anybody tell me the difference between these two, Demo account and Real account.??
With a demo account, you do not have any risk of losing real money.
Usually traders use demo account for the sake of testing and perfecting their trading method or trading setup. So, demo account is just for demonstration purpose only.
With real account, you do have a risk of losing real money as the profit and loss is real.
Some brokerage firms give no price slippage on a demo account but when it comes to real account you do get price slippage.
For me, demo account trading is good for the beginners and is a must before starting a real trading with hard earned money. Demo trading allows us to know the trading platform well and makes us at ease with it . Also we will know few basic things before we trade the real money. But one should know that real trading is quite serious and important than demo trading.
Demo account is using a virtual money. Whereas in live account, you are using your own pocket, and you will earn real money. But don't in hurry to earn real money, before practicing with demo account, and able to minimize the lost.
Demo account trading is very good for you, if you are a beginner in Forex trader because in this you don’t have a risk to lose your money. You can practice on that your own strategy, if you fail so there is no fear to lose money. After enough practice on demo account practice you can trade on live account. Demo account is very good to develop your skills about Forex trading. I must say every beginner in Forex; start Forex with demo account practice. Forex Options
yup just like muhammad said, here are some of the differences between demo and real
in demo its almost always smooth trading, fast execution and steady preads, awesome environment, in live accounts you will encounter some differences there will some delays for ECN or STP broker which is a given, some slippage in prices, and maybe some widening in spreads, these are the actual condition in the live market, the lesser the difference the better, but i think its unavoidable so most traders just deal with it
another big difference is PSYCHOLOGICAL, coz if its the first time dealing with real money in trading (or in gambling) there is fear that messes up you decision and makes you make more mistakes, thats why its adviced to tread demo acounts like real money and be serious in tarding demo, so stick with demo for a couple of month, and if you go live start really small to have a good feel.
